its been quite some time since my last entry and its been a hectic with the usual outings during the weekends and the tedious workloads in school though we didn't really have much to do but it did stress us out physically when the results were in vain. thats alright because the results are showing good signs now and we'll be busy doing the reports and testing more chemicals/foods in the latter. speaking of the weekends, a never miss out moments in time here where we took a fairly three hours long journey to Great Ocean Road on saturday and right before that, we had an hour of ride on the train to South Geelong and with credits to zhi li's aunt and her friend fiona, who is an super duper hyper active person even at the age of close to 40, offer to drive us along the way to Great Ocean Road. The sceneries are definitely beautiful and of course we did have to pay a price for that and that was we did almost freeze to ice at the low temperature with the addition of strong winds and rains. guess what. it rained ice instead of raindrops. isn't it amazing. on the way back, we saw rainbows. not the type of rainbows you'll get to see in singapore which seems so seldom too but a whole full stretch of rainbow right from the ocean to the hills. in fact, we saw two rainbows. i'd wonder if seeing rainbow does have any significance behind it or its just purely the formation after raining. i'll check it though but if anyone do know about it, let me know ok. aside that, the sky was almost filled with countless of millions of stars, so much so that i wish i could stay there and gaze at the bright shining stars high up on the sky and numerous kangaroos in the golf coast but its a pity they fence up the area. in addition, fiona did tell us her interesting UFOs encounter experience but well, i'd marvel over if there's really UFO. nevertheless, saturday was so much of a strenuous day and i did enjoy.

sunday was a full shopping day where we went South Yarra after the trip to victoria market to shop for our groceries but to our disappointment, there's isn't much shops to shop and so we headed back to Direct Factory Outlet instead but i bought this hello kitty soft toys model which was love at first sight when i saw it. so cute! im soo in love with it. anyway, we went to this vietnam restaurant for dinner where the foods were rather nice along with the good-looking waiters we found so far.

went crown casino on monday night after dinner but alas, even though we managed toget in, we had absolutely no idea of how to play. the machine there were way too complicated for us to fathom it. perplexingly, more than half of the casino was filled by the elderly. probably the elderly there were pretty free then.

the trip to dracula on tuesday night was really a thrilling one with the scary ride of the ghost train, the funny and enjoyable shows performed by the same few performances which were incredibly nice. so much so that we love to visit the restaurant once more. moreover, we did take a photo with the performances and their signatures on the back of the photos. cool indeed and i have this sudden and slight urge to apply for a job in this field. it would be really fun to be part of them. but alas, i cldn't upload the dracula picture we took till im back in singapore. nvm then. at least it worth our time even though we had to rush down after a whole day of continuous lab work in school. im loving it. =))

the trip to melbourne zoo on saturday was indeed a fun one, where i got to see lots of 'me',
be it the elephants or the monkeys or turtles. and yes of course, i saw cedric, the penguins
as well. but the penguins here are certainly so much cuter than him. oops. lalalala~ but alas,
we didn't really get to see the koalas really because they only have one pathetic koala lying
flat on the tree and refused to show his face and much of the other animals were either dozing
off or enjoying their nap time. on the other note, the luna park ride was cancelled due to the
"over-whelming " response from the rest who didn't really show much interest in the rides, so together
with sharon, we intended to visit there once again on our own. afterwhich, we went to st kilda's
beach where we had this fantastic dinner at this beach restaurant where we got to view the beautiful
and almost perfect scenery i had ever seen so far. shall upload the pictures soon when im free.
on another note, lab work in school today didn't seem to carry out smoothly as normal. i
spilled the chemicals from the beaker not once but thrice. what a bad day. and right now.
i'm simply feeling very low. in fact i was pretty low in mood and on the way back home, i was
holding against my tears from rolling down. i was just thinking of the same old topic and
stuff that has been on my mind for the past few months. i don't know. what should i do?
today is just such a lousy day for me. lousy lousy. boo.. =((

this week in school was a real mundane and almost torturing
times with what handling the same few chemicals and carrying
out the same procedures reiterately where we still failed to get the
expected results. somehow, i do feel bit of demoralise. so hopefully
we can figure out soon whats the exact problems existing or hindering
our progress such that we can carry out our experiment successful.
*cross finger. on the other note, our lecturer was not in school again, so
we were attached to this PhD student for the day who is working out
something that has got to do with spray drying and the day before, we
were attached to another PhD student who is doing noodles.
no worries. the weekdays are coming to an end today and we shall
shop and have lots of fun again this upcoming weekend. we'll be
going to victoria market, luna park, zoo and shopping this weekend.
mm. just had a water fight after soaking our smelly feets in the bathtub.
*shivering. its cold and i'm the last to bath again. hahas. alright. thats all
for the moment and awaits for my entry tmrw on our fun trip. tatas.

it so happen that labour day falls on the monday, which is today
and how nice it is to enjoy 'no school' days for three days in a row.
but we did wake up arly as normal and make our way to carlton
park and shopping. had a wonderful shopping returns with lots of
clothes. oh great. i love it. hehes. we managed to catch the street
performance for the labour day and its cool. right after that, we
went to docklands park where we played like some deprive of
childhood kids. but we certainly did have lots of fun there.. =))
after dinner, we went to rialto tower which stands at a height of
254m, with 54 storeys high. its so luckily of us to catch the flame
and fireworks for the day. the scenery is so amazing and the fireworks
were way too beautiful, though we had to endure with the strong
chilling cold wind at the top that nearly froze us up. then after, we
headed home and here i'm am blogging after my bath and its 12.50am
right now, so i'd better turn in and sleep. nights.

no worries. a common phrase you'll hear over here.
on another note, its sunday again and so here we are
with our sunday saver card and continue with our weekly
exploration around melbourne. the original plan to stony
point was cancelled due to the lack of time, so we went frankston
instead where we met this weirdo and creepy stranger who suggested
that carrum would be a better and fantastic place for the scenery of
the sea side. with that, we travelled all the back along with this guy,
and landed at the port philip bay, where we took a picture with him
and thats when he touched my arm. oh my!! =x we were scared of him.
this is scary. anyway, for the umpteen times that i could recall, we
saw wedding couples yet again. but this was a rather romantic one to
hold it at the sea side. i'll wish to have one at the sea side too. with the
beautiful scenery and the endless oncoming breeze, almost perfect
and how wonderful it is. =)) afterwhich, we made our way to narre
warren to join in the celebrate of anis's parent's friend's daughter's
birthday. complicated network links though but we went there.
they were affable and jovial people. i did enjoy myself there with the
nice foods and cakes provided. on top of that, there was this story teller,
the mother of the birthday girl who is a singaporean too, told us her stay
in melbourne for the past 20 years. interesting story and the scenery there
did inspire me of the thought to live there when i retired or grow old too.
probably i shall get myself an aussie boyfriend such that, i'll be able to live
here. no no. i'm just kidding. aussie guys are definitely not my type though
they are a number that are good looking and that includes butcher, cleaner
and worker whom you won't believe or find it in singapore. alright, thats all
for the day and to wei wei, i'm shy when sharon held my hand today. oops. *shy.

Do you know what it's like
To feel so in the dark
To dream about a life
Where you're the shining star
Even though it seems
Like it's too far away
I have to believe in myself
It's the only way
