oh well, to date, i've been in melbourne for almost a week
which means i'm still left with another 5 weeks to go
before i'm on the plane again back home.
i miss lots of foods in singapore. so much that i wld eat up
anything that i can find in singapore, provided they are
the usual stuffs that i eat because i do have a picky mouth
according to someone whom i shall not mention. you know
who you are and i miss tickling you. =))
anyway. i did realise that i miss out lots of updates of my trips
and funs here. so right now, i shall update bit of them since i'm
so free expecting waiting for the professor's reply in this small
and yet stuffy room that comprises of only a pathetic 16 figure
number of computers.
first thing on the list for the first day would be to settle down our luggages
and stuffs, with the help of professor marriott who is such a benevolent
person, at least to me i feel he is and i guess everyone does agree with me too.
after which, we went Federation Square, a must go place for tourists here
as mentioned by chee wee, the all times clown along with his funny
gestures that never fail to keep us laughing all day long. and guess what,
this guy is the son of the lab technician for our proins practical, the
pernickety woman whom i'll never forget. oh yes. the weather here is so
erratic that its extremely cold for the day and remarkably hot the day after.
on top of that, the humidity is incredibly arid here that my hands are soon
comparable with an eighty years old granny. thats bad. i seriously do have
to buy a moisturizer sooner or later. and i did become tanner, which is good
because i always fail to do so in singapore. the day after we settle down,
professor marriott brought us to the campus which is huge but strangely
the college is spilt into different precincts around melbourne city. so unlike
the universities and schools in singapore which are clustered together. besides
that, there is this used-to-be court building which the government has given it
to RMIT. so for that very day of our visit, me and sharon were the judges of the day.

a trip to victoria market where you can never find cheap vegetables fruits or
any other groceries like what we have in singapore. thats the reason why i miss
singapore's foods badly. i miss home too. Miss my forever noisy yet caring sister, my
other shopping campanion sister, my beloved mum and dad too. and of course i miss
everything of mine in my room. nvm. i'll be back sooon with lots of stuff for them.
for the time being, i've bought apair of earrings for mum, a jeans material jumper
for my sister, a pack of nougarts for my other sis as well as myself and i do intend
to buy more packs back when i'm gg back soon and lots of clothes for myself. its great
to shop right now because most of the shops are having their clearance sale where
we can grab anything at such a cheaper price but the shops close at 6 in the evening.
such a pity and leaving us the limit amount of time of shop around. well, i'll seize
anytime i can to shop and buy lots of stuffs back for everyone. hopefully i can or
manage to find smth to buy.
the first time we took the transports avaliable in melbourne was on sunday. we went
to this faraway and ulu place which took us nearly 45 mins to the other end. but along
the way to and fro, we captured lots of photos of the scenery as well as the group of us.
its fun and we had fish & chip for that day which is a must try in melbourne. aside that,
the scenery of the sky here is so much mesmerising then in singapore.
oh yes. just the day before our ITP starts on the monday which wasn't really so because we
had bbq instead, zhi li, one of my roomates got stucked in the restroom. she was locked for
almost a hour before the manager knocked down part of the door. i'd freak out if the person
was me . but thank godness, she's safe and sound except for fright she got. tuesday was the
official day where out ITP starts and in comparison to the others, our group slacks the most
not because we do nth but the professor is soo busy that he could hardly squeeze anytime for
us. and he's not in school today, leaving us with the stuffs to do on our own and we have absolutely
forgotten everything we have learnt in school in which we have no idea if the laboratory work was
carried out correctly. thats bad for the second time. i feel so lousy. =x
